Welcome to Coberley Village Fete & Produce Show 2018!
This is an annual event, held on the Coberley Church of England Primary School playing field on August Bank Holiday.
In 2016, the Produce & Handicraft Show was added to the traditional Coberley Village Fete, which has been held for many years.
The Fete and Produce Show are organised by an enthusiastic team of villagers, who meet regularly to plan the events and channel new ideas.
The Produce Show encourages anyone, not only from Coberley Parish, but anywhere else, to compete for the many challenge trophies in a wide range of categories, – from vegetables and flowers to preserves and cakes, from handicrafts to painting and photography.
New in the 2017 Show, was a home-made scarecrow competition and adults and children are encouraged to come up with their novel creations to amuse visitors.
The Fete regularly features a silver band, the very popular Dog Show and the local Cotswold Alpaca herd, with demonstrations of the ancient art of alpaca fleece spinning.
Stalls and activities on offer include try-your-luck games, tombola and a raffle, whilst sustenance is provided by a BBQ, ice creams and cream teas.
All proceeds from the Fete and Produce Show are put towards the upkeep of Coberley’s beautiful Parish Church, St Giles, which dates back to Norman times.
